School of Continuing Studies is seeking a
Marketing Project Manager who will lead and manage projects for the Marketing team. We're looking for someone who is organized and detail-oriented, with a deep knowledge of project management best practices; who has managed a wide range of projects, including website design, UX, CRM communications, and video production; who is familiar with project management software like Asana; and communicates up and down, side to side so everyone knows what's going on and what's expected.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Marketing, the
Marketing Project Manager will oversee, guide, track, and report on all video and print projects; define the scope and determine the management strategy of projects; manage individual project budgets, including reporting and spending; and gather feedback, propose recommendations, get buy-in from key stakeholders, and decide next steps.
This position's
Work Mode is designated as Hybrid, so you'll work at the School of Continuing Studies' state-of-the-art downtown D.C. campus three days a week and remotely the other two. The Marketing Project Manager also has one direct report, our full-time videographer.

RESPONSIBILITIESLead and manage projects for the SCS Marketing team:- Define the vision, drive discussions, and determine strategy around the management of each project. Gather feedback and options, create recommendations, get buy-in from stakeholders, and determine next steps
- Create project plans, schedules and budgets to fulfill strategic plan initiatives and School priorities
- Identify vendors for outsourced services and manage RFP process
- Document project requirements
- Manage project budgets, and track and report spending
- Build work breakdown structures
- Prepare schedules and detailed task lists
- Communicate with project teams to ensure decisions are documented, tasks and deadlines are clear and continuous follow up is carried out
- Run project meetings, distribute notes and assign and manage follow-up activities
Oversee the production management of all video and print projects including:- Secure estimates for work, shipping & handling, postage, and final proofs for approval
- Work with internal designer or producer, coordinating with internal stakeholders on content and timelines
- Coordinate between program marketing managers and videographer/writer/designer to schedule student/alumni/faculty interviews for video and written content (two unique workflows), and photo shoots
- In conjunction with agency requirements, manage all video asset files required for advertising including new sizes, music files, and acquiring the SRT files
Responsible for the ongoing management of:- The non-payroll side of the marketing budget including all vendor contracts, invoice approvals, processing and payment, requisitions and PO's, reconciliations, and variance reporting
- One direct report: the fulltime videographer/photographer, including managing his schedule, workload, professional development, and any equipment needs
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree - Master's degree preferred
- 4+ years of project management experience or marketing experience - higher education experience preferred
- Creative production management experience preferred (video and print specifically)
- Proficient with project management software such as Asana
- Experience managing a wide range of projects with multiple customer groups successfully - including website design, UX, CRM communications, creative & video production, etc.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Ability to execute projects on time and within a given budget
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and possess excellent customer service skills
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Marketo, and Salesforce
