Great Parks is seeking a qualified strategic professional for the exciting position of Chief of Marketing and Brand Strategy. This executive leadership position is for the individual who is ready to take their career to the next level and wants to work for an inclusive organization! This position will serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive Officer, and work alongside the Executive Leadership Team to support branding and marketing initiatives for the agency through the following key responsibilities:
Implementing the brand strategy and marketing plan in alignment with Great Parks’ mission, vision, and master plan to strengthen Great Parks’ position in the community.
Reaching target audiences in unique and inventive ways to generate excitement and engagement with the park district.
Plan and direct all-inclusive marketing, communications, and engagement campaigns that increase visitation, enhance and promote the agency’s brand and image, and support revenue goals.
Lead and direct all crisis communication strategies and plans.
Coordinate partnerships and sponsorships with the philanthropic partner, Great Parks Forever, to create strategies for public engagement, outreach opportunities, and special events to represent the agency throughout the community including groundbreaking/dedications, community meetings, speaking engagements, expos, races, parades, festivals, and events.
Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.
The typical starting salary range for the position will be $120,400 to $147,200 depending on experience.

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business or closely related field.
Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the marketing industry and demonstrated achievements with brand strategy including 4 or more years of team management experience.
Will be able to demonstrate knowledge of strategic planning; marketing principles; brand management; public relations; media relations.
Experience with digital marketing; social media; marketing and website metrics and analytics.
Demonstrates experience with the printing processes including design and color; advertising campaign management; integrated marketing plans; English word usage, spelling, sentence structure, and punctuation; website content management.
State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License that meets GPHC's current carrier guidelines.
