Job Summary
This is an ideal opportunity for a well-rounded marketing and communications professional looking to make a difference in the lives of many people across the state of Pennsylvania. This full-time position with nationally recognized Geisinger is a new position being recruited in support of a statewide rollout of Medicaid. The rollout will start earliest mid-Q2 of 2022, with state approval. This new marketing and communications role is vital in the successful implementation and execution of approved marketing and communication tactics for Geisinger Health Plan's Medicaid offering. Marketing plan tactics for Medicaid can include but are not limited to: direct mail, consumer communications, provider web portal, health plan member packets, health plan collateral, print fulfillment, inventory tracking, as well as field marketing and communications in partnership with community business organizations, health plan wellness colleagues, and health plan Medicaid community educators. This role works closely with the lead health plan marketing strategist for Medicaid, the Medicaid marketing and communications project manager, cross-functional department staff assigned to Medicaid, the Geisinger in-house print shop, Medicaid operational teams and project managers, and various external vendors, including state-designated Small Diverse Business (SDB) vendors working in support of the Geisinger Medicaid offering.
Job Duties
● Supports the 2022 statewide Medicaid roll-out and ongoing marketing and communications for the health plan offering.
● Works in a metrics-based marketing and communications model and collaborates with a cross-functional, matrix team.
● Supports department management on Medicaid heath plan priority activities and deliverables.
● Ensures clear and effective communication processes within the cross-functional team.
● Develops summaries and project briefs, as appropriate, to advance work and meet
deadlines.
● Supports the Medicaid marketing plan through preparation and distribution of government-
regulated materials for members and providers including: explainers, brochures,
newsletters, letters, email and others.
● Assists in the management and accurate delivery of necessary member data sets for
approved omni-channel communications efforts.
● Participates in periodic project implementation reviews and quality workgroups.
● Serves as a department resource for Medicaid regulatory audits.
● Serves as a liaison with external marketing agencies, printers, mail houses, and other approved partners who support Geisinger Medicaid marketing and communications.
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Travel may be required. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Position Details
The Geisinger Marketing and Communications Department works in a hybrid model that includes the flexible option of work from home or in-office at a Geisinger Marketing and Communications facility in Pennsylvania.
