This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position to teach undergraduate Marketing and Business courses on campus within the School of Arts and Sciences and to join a team of engaged faculty focused on equipping future Christian business leaders.

This position reports to the Chair of the Department of Business and Sport Management, the Dean of the School of Business, and the Vice President of Academic Affairs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

• Teach courses in marketing and business according to graduate training and experience. A normal teaching load is 24 credits each year.
• Advise students in the Department of Business and Sport Management.
• Stay abreast of scholarly and market developments in specific and relevant fields as well as current teaching methodologies, curriculum development, and assessment.
• Contribute to the field of business and/or the profession of college-level teaching.
• Engage in general faculty responsibilities that include: participation in department and faculty meetings, care of students, Crown College committee assignments, and at least 10 hours of scheduled office hours per week to be available to students.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

• Demonstrated experience and expertise teaching marketing and business courses at the college level
• Strong interpersonal skills and positive, dynamic energy regarding professional education
• Established ability to work effectively as a team member
• Demonstrate excellence in spoken, written and electronic communication skills
• Ability to integrate collegiate teaching and the Christian faith
• Experience evaluating students’ work and reporting results promptly
• Agreement and personal alignment with the Crown College Statement of Faith and Community Covenant

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s level degree in marketing or a related field
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness
• Work experience in marketing
• Experience using computer technology in the teaching/learning process

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (in addition to the above minimum qualifications):

• A PhD in Marketing
• 5+ years of full-time teaching experience, especially in Christian higher education
• Familiarity and/or experience with standards and assessments
• Experience with college level academic advising
