Bennett Day School is seeking a driven, detail-oriented content marketing intern to support a rapidly growing community. The content marketing intern will update existing material, generate novel work, and identify new ways to reach prospective students and families. This position reports directly to the Marketing Manager.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience with writing and editing, digital publishing, and generating traffic and leads for new business. Experience in K12 education, ed tech, or a related field is beneficial. Please share samples of your work (portfolio or links to published articles) along with your application.
Job Specifications
Research industry-related topics
Prepare well-structured blog articles and press releases using digital publishing platforms
Interview community members and industry experts to develop new content
Design blog graphics and/or create video content to accompany written pieces
Edit and proofread written pieces before publication
Conduct keyword research and use SEO guidelines to optimize content
Promote content on social networks and monitor engagement (e.g. comments and shares)
Identify customers’ needs and recommend new topics
Measure web traffic to content (e.g. conversion and bounce rates)
Hours: ~10-15 hours/week
Anticipated start date: June 1, 2022
Anticipated end date: September 1, 2022 with possibility to extend longer

Examples of written or published articles
Experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. HubSpot or WordPress)
Outstanding writing and editing skills
An ability to fact-check long-form content pieces
Excellent research, organizational, and time management skills
Familiarity with SEO
Previous experience with the following platforms is a plus: iMovie, HubSpot, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite
