MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS ADMINISTRATOR, Center for Transportation & Logistics (CTL), to act as a creative and technical expert and provide hands-on support for external marketing, advertising, messaging, and general promotion for the CTL Supply Chain Exchange; research initiatives and labs; and publications, webinars, and events. Responsibilities include designing, writing, editing, and developing creative and original content/material; assisting with email content, list segmentation, and email scheduling and deployment; identifying and promoting researchers' publications/projects/events; identifying target audiences and recommending content; advising on digital marketing campaigns and helping monitor external contractors; analyzing campaign performance across digital channels and providing web and social media support; monitoring the continuous maintenance and development of the ctl.mit.edu and lab websites; creating brochures/flyers/posters/booklets; administering and maintaining direct marketing contact lists and databases; measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing and communications campaigns; managing copyright requirements; and performing other duties as requested.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field; three years' related experience marketing across web, email, and social channels; high-level proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office (especially Excel), web content management, and analytic (Drupal, WordPress, Google Analytics, HTML/CSS) and email marketing tools (MailChimp or similar); experience tailoring web content for search engine optimization; comfort using and creating content for social media platforms; experience with paid search and social media advertising; excellent organizational, interpersonal, writing, and proofreading skills; and ability to multitask and juggle multiple requests simultaneously, work effectively with employees at all levels, and represent CTL programs to external journalists and media.
