The University of Detroit Mercy, Michigan's largest, most comprehensive private University, is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Assistant Director of Athletics Marketing & Promotions. Detroit Mercy is an NCAA Division I institution, and sponsors 17 varsity sports that compete primarily in the Horizon League. We are seeking a dynamic team player to join our staff that has a passion for collegiate athletics.
The Assistant Director of Athletics Marketing & Promotions will assist with marketing of men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s lacrosse, softball, along with other sports to be determined; assist in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of marketing plans for assigned sports; emphasis will be placed on ticket sales, attendance and game presentation; assist in game presentation for assigned sports to include timelines, scripts, promotions, giveaways, atmosphere, PA announcements, DJ, videoboard, entertainment, special events, band, cheerleaders, dance team, student groups, and product sampling; provide solutions to continuously improve customer service and enhanced game-day experience for fans; other duties as assigned
