Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing & Ticket Operations

In accordance with all NCAA, MAAC, and Iona University policies, the position will report to the Deputy Athletic Director. The Assistant AD for Marketing and Tickets is responsible for coordination and implementation of all aspects of the University's Division I Athletic Marketing and Ticketing activities. The position will play an integral role in the coordination and strategic development, implementation, and activation of comprehensive marketing and ticket sales plans, fan development campaigns and organizational branding outreach activities of the University's athletics program.
Coordinates athletic department marketing initiatives for Iona's 21 varsity sports, with an emphasis on Iona's paid ticketed events (i.e. men's and women's basketball). This position develops strategic marketing plans and oversees campus and community athletic promotions that increase and sustain attendance and fan engagement. The role organizes events and operations related to the game experience. The Assistant AD will assist with planning and marketing related to special campus events, tournaments, and post-season play.
Oversees all game day tickets sales for men's and women's basketball season. This includes supervision of staff that executes box office sales and ticket takers. Responsible for development of sales plans and solicitation strategies for Iona Basketball season ticket packages. Responsible for renewals, development of new business, fulfillment of orders, and account management for season ticket holders.
Serves as the primary liaison from Athletics to the Office of Student Development and as moderator of the Maroon Maniacs (Iona University Student Section). Collaborates with the Office of Marketing and Communications to develop campus engagement plans to connect athletics with various departments and groups. Researches national best practices to enhance the game day experience at all athletic events. Collaborates with campus partners in Student Development to oversee Iona Spirit Squads, Mascot, and Iona Pep Band.
Responsible for the writing and execution of all men's and women's basketball game scripts. This includes coordination with Spirit Squads, sponsorship activations, community groups, special events, and others. Responsible for reviewing and approving video board content before games and special events.
Supports and attends fundraising and alumni engagement events for Iona Athletics. These will include, but are not limited to, the annual Athletics Golf Outing, the 12 Days to Fight the Good Fight initiative, Homecoming Weekend, and various other Development events.
Serves as game day administrator for assigned sport(s). Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics or Deputy AD.
