Job Category: Student Employment Compensation: $500/month stipend and provided housing. Additional compensation over the summer months will be determined at the discretion/needs of the athletics department. Type of Position: Post-Graduate Assist the marketing and communications department’s efforts, in conjunction with our Director of Multimedia and Production, in creating a digital strategy that includes motion graphic design and video content creation. The qualified candidate will have the opportunity to work directly with coaches and student athletes from all 15 athletic programs to develop creative, entertaining, and fun content to help tell the “Murray State Racers story” to fans and potential student athletes while adhering to and assisting in the development of the programs brand standards.
Although the candidate will collaborate with athletics marketing on assignment of content capture and creation, they will have creative leeway to develop video content that will represent the look and feel of Racers athletics, including working directly with our men’s and women’s basketball programs.
This position is an appointment for the 2022-23 academic year with the opportunity for a second term.

Intern – Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in the areas of Creative or Graphic Design, Media, Communications, or related field
Intern – Preferred experience collaborating with a collegiate athletics program or professional sports team to film and produce creative video content, graphic design, and social media content. Must be willing to work all football, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball home events, as well as select dates for non-revenue programs as assigned. Successful candidates must be willing to work all home football games and home games for assigned sports.
Intern – Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Practical experience with all common forms of social media.
Videography and creative design skills are imperative to this role. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (including, but not limited to Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere Pro). A working knowledge of social media platforms (including, but not limited to Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) is highly preferred.
