The Office of the Vice Provost for Advances in Learning seeks a creative, enthusiastic, innovative, and highly motivated individual to join the team as Digital Marketing Coordinator. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing and Communications of the Office of the Vice Provost for Advances in Learning the Digital Marketing Coordinator facilitates digital communications and web efforts for online courses in the HarvardX and Harvard Online portfolios.
The Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the digital presence of all online courses at Harvard, including updating the Harvard Online website and communicating with web developers for site upgrades and optimizations. The Coordinator will make SEO recommendations for courses and monitor analytics for the Harvard Online website as well as other websites where HarvardX and Harvard Online courses appear, such as Harvard's Professional and Lifelong Learning Portal, the VPAL website, and Harvard pages on the edX website. The Digital Marketing Coordinator is also responsible for executing on strategies that integrate best practices in email marketing, social media marketing, and paid advertising, and is responsible for monitoring and responding to learner communications through these channels.
Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain the Harvard Online website, uploading and reviewing courses and content. Track and analyze website analytics and coordinate with website developers for edits and optimizations
- Craft and publish course pages on various websites, including Harvard Professional and Lifelong Learning, VPAL, and edX
- Assist with research and make SEO recommendations for new course titles and descriptions
- Create, deploy, and analyze emails for HarvardX and Harvard Online
- Craft, deploy, and analyze social media posts from Harvard Online accounts including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter
- Monitor learner responses and questions through social media and email; implement learner response process review sales and marketing reports through CRM platform and adjust marketing efforts accordingly
This position supports and assists other members of the marketing team and organization as needed. Must be able to simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines.

- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience or a combination of education beyond high school and at least 2 years of professional experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience in marketing and communications, specializing in digital and social media marketing.
- Knowledge and familiarity with all forms of existing and emerging advertising and communications opportunities across web, email, and social media platforms
- Experience with social media marketing, including analysis of analytics
- Knowledge of HTML
- Experience with Drupal or similar web content management systems to create, edit, and optimize web marketing and product content
- Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- Experience using marketing automation software to nurture prospects through the marketing funnel from initial interest to enrollment, such as Klaviyo or Hubspot
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills and knowledge of online content strategy and creation, and/or experience with SEO
- The successful candidate must have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, be highly organized, demonstrate strong initiative, and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced work setting
- Experience working in higher education is preferred
