Marketing Specialist, Executive Development
The George Mason University, School of Business invites applications for the position of Marketing Specialist, Executive Development. The focus of this role is to utilize best practices in marketing and social media strategy to attract Executive Development program participants and clients, and to implement recruitment communication strategies to increase enrollment in Executive Development programs. This is a full-time classified staff position with full benefits.

Responsibilities:
Marketing Specialist, Executive Development has responsibilities in the following areas:
Recruitment Management
- Creation and distribution of email campaigns through SalesForce/Marketing Cloud system and other outreach efforts to increase interest from prospective participants;
- Provide appropriate follow-up communication with prospective students regarding program inquiries;
- Collaborate on marketing strategies to influence and increase inquiries and registrations;
- Manage CRM process through initial inquiry to enrollment; and
- Compile recruitment data and prepare reports.
Marketing and Communications
- Collaborate on developing general department and program specific marketing strategies;
- Execute program marketing plans, including digital advertising;
- Liaison for Executive Development with School of Business Marketing department, including collaboration to promote programs to relevant communities and website maintenance;
- Maintain LinkedIn pages, other social network sites for Executive Development;
- Execute administrative tasks related to marketing and vendor management, such as procurement processes and tradeshow paperwork; and
- Manage special marketing projects as assigned.
Content Creation
- Develop content for Website and digital/social media, video, newsletters, magazines, and email communications;
- Support both hardcopy and digital collateral creation and distribution;
- Collaborate with and manage outside vendors (printers, graphic designers, advertising agencies etc.) to plan, build and distribute branded materials; and
- Ensure brand alignment and consistency in all materials production.
Special Projects and Program Delivery Coordination
- Managing and executing special projects and initiatives as assigned that support the strategic mission of the school;
- Working with the Executive Development team to ensure accuracy, coordination, and prioritization of projects;
- Working with the Executive Development team to support the preparation for programs; and
- Working with the Executive Development team to ensure all programs, events and projects are executed with a high level of customer service.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience;
- Demonstrated knowledge of digital marketing practices, and photo and video editing;
- Demonstrated skills in the use of computers and computer software with working knowledge of all applications in Microsoft Office, electronic calendaring, e-mail, SalesForce and Marketing Cloud, graphic design software (such as Canva, Adobe creative suite, etc.), and virtual platforms (Zoom; Microsoft Teams, etc.);
- Skill in interpersonal communication, organization, and time management;
- Ability to work with multiple constituents;
- Ability to problem solve and think quickly under changing circumstances;
- Ability to work independently and to complete multiple tasks within tight deadlines;
- Ability to quickly gain proficiency in web-based database platforms and applications;
- Ability to work effectively as a key member of a dynamic, fast-paced, demanding environment with frequently changing priorities;
- Ability to handle matters with discretion and maintain confidentiality in a highly visible office;
- Ability to work independently;
- Ability to work within cross-functional teams for collaboration;
- Demonstrated digital marketing experience including web, social media (post writing & schedule planning), and digital/social media advertising; and
- Experience in verbal and written communication, including proofreading and editing skills, copy writing experience and a command of the English language and grammar.
