Smithbucklin is looking for a Marketing and Communications Manager to join our Chicago or DC Office. The Marketing and Communications (MCS) Manager utilizes market information and key strategies in order to help clients achieve their marketing goals. The selected individual is expected to provide a variety of services to our client organizations, including branding, creative services, public relations, membership publications, and convention and event marketing that go beyond the successful execution of program and campaign deliverables.
What You Will Do:
Develop and manage marketing and communications campaigns for 4-6 client professional associations in a matrixed environment.
Lead digital marketing strategies and tactics including SEO, SEM and content marketing.
Deliver marketing activities including: market assessment and analysis, objectives and key strategies, identification of new tactics and channels, and tactical metrics/evaluation.
Develop and manage client marketing budgets.
Oversee teams in the implementation of marketing campaigns including organization and delegation of project roles/responsibilities; management of performance of assigned team ensuring quality of delivery & product, reporting and budget management.
Develop and maintain relationships with client leadership and team members.
BA/BS required (concentration in Integrated Communications or Marketing preferred).
6+ years marketing and communications experience
Proven track record for designing and leading the implementation and tracking of digital and traditional marketing campaigns.
Proficient in budget/financial management.
Strong people management and project management skills.
Knowledge of HTML, Word, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to travel 10% of the time.
Experience in a matrixed environment (agency experience preferred).
Experience work for an AMC or standalone association
Proficiency with basic computer programming, including the Microsoft Office Suite, HTML, social media channels (Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter).
