JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The direction of the Dean and in conjunction with campus Communications and Marketing, the Communications/Marketing Manager is responsible for the development of the College's marketing and branding strategies, sets direction for accomplishing the marketing goals of the College and oversees internal College of Pharmacy communications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establishes the College's marketing and communication goals that support the mission of the college, defines measurable objectives, and ensures success of marketing and communication strategies.
Leads the development of the College's marketing plan and oversees the execution of marketing and communication strategies in support of the College's mission and goals.
Conceptualizes and collaborates with the Office of Communications and Marketing, to develop new creative assets (photos, video, graphics, branded swag, and print) and campaigns, including digital, branded products, and printed assets that promote the College of Pharmacy.
Leads the project management of all college marketing and communications projects and recruitment marketing projects as assigned.
Manages the College's branding strategy and oversees branding campaign efforts in concert with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) Office of Communications and Marketing team.
Works closely with the UTHSC Office of Communications and Marketing for assistance, support, and approval with UTHSC branding, design, campus communications and marketing, social media, website, and some photography/videography needs.
Develops, produces, and presents a variety of reports--from executive summaries to detailed program reports--that summarize analyses, document the impact of marketing efforts, and inform future strategies.
Develops promotional materials, in collaboration with the Director of Admissions and Recruitment and with the approval of the UTHSC Office of Communications and Marketing, to reach external audiences that will promote name recognition and enhance reputation through sharing of accomplishments and activities of the College.
Enhances the general public's awareness of the College's programs, and its faculty and researchers.
Engages with campus partners and internal teams and ensures the College Marketing and Communications Unit is meeting the strategic needs of our campus community relative to marketing and communication.
