The primary function of the Marketing and Communications Manager is the support of institutional brand-building and student lead generation initiatives. This role manages and supports a wide range of activities, from editorial strategy, social media, content creation, email marketing, and advertising campaigns. Day-to-day workload will include content creation, social media management, email marketing, website updates, and some graphic design.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages and leads execution of institutional editorial strategy, including global content calendar, collaboration with subject matter experts, and cross-team adherence to NUNM brand style guide. Produces and manages content for the priority areas of the University website, social media, intranet, PR, and digital ad campaigns.
Works with AVPME to develop and deploy brand and recruitment campaigns across offline and online channels (paid, owned, earned). Optimizes storytelling and audience engagement strategies based on qualitative feedback and performance analytics.
Oversees design and manages production of NUNM brand collateral, such as printed materials and publications, swag, and signage. Coordinates with stakeholders via central project management tool, manages external vendor relationships, and ensures high-quality representation of the NUNM brand.
Supports production and distribution of communications distributed by other core areas of the University, including Office of the President, Chief Medical Officer, and Advancement.
Oversees creative and content produced by external vendors and agencies, including photoshoots, seasonal brochures, and other pieces as necessary.

This in-person position will be based at our campus in Portland, Oregon.
A Bachelor’s degree and three years’ work experience OR five years’ work experience in Marketing, Communications and/or PR.
Experience in healthcare, education, or research is preferred.
