Position Information Under the supervision of the recreation Department Marketing Manager, the Recreation Marketing Coordinator will assist in managing the marketing, public relations and public information activities for the Recreation Department, programs such as FitWell, Competitive Sports, Outdoor Excursions, Aquatics, Ropes, Child Care, Activity Classes, Open Recreation, Special Events and other programming as well as assist in the development and maintenance of an integrated marketing program for internal and external campus audiences. The incumbent will work in collaboration with Student Affairs communication on marketing duties. The budgeted salary amount for this position is up to $80,300/yr.

Degree Requirement Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required
Experience Requirement 2 - 4 years of related experience. Required Experience in social media management, creating social media campaigns, and as a digital media specialist. Preferred Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics collection knowledge. Preferred Experience in graphic design, interactive media, journalism, communications, and/or advertising. Preferred Experience conducting surveys to understand our target audience and to assist in improving student engagement. Preferred

Preferred Qualifications Organizational skills and skills in file creation, maintenance and management. Written and interpersonal communication skills. Solid knowledge of marketing principles, concepts, strategies and best practices. Knowledge of customer service standards/procedures.
