Summary of Duties:
Reporting to the Dean of the College of Nursing, this position will lead the strategic Marketing and Communications efforts for the College. This is a marketing centric position. The position will develop and implement effective marketing strategies, and identify important academic, research & other topics of interest for communication in support of College of Nursing goals, while ensuring that information shared is accurate, relevant, and timely. This position will also support the College of Nursing's media & community relations needs. The Marketing & Communication Manager will serve as the designated and primary spokesperson for the College of Nursing.
Marketing and Communication Planning and Implementation - 50%
Public, Community and Media Relations - 35%
Public Relations - 5%
Supervision - 5%
Other - 5%
A Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations or other relevant field AND four (4) years of professional level experience in print or broadcast media, public relations work or other relevant experience which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic marketing and communication plans, as well as complex projects in these areas.
Demonstrated successful experience working with media and other external organizations.
Monthly Salary: $6,012.09 - $7,688.63; commensurate with qualifications and experience. FTE: 100% This is a Permanent position. Screening Begin Date: November 22, 2022; open until filled Background Check: This position has been designated by the department to require a background check.
