The Marketing Department at the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor beginning Fall 2023. The primary responsibilities for this position include excellence in teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in marketing, conducting scholarly activities that result in high quality, peer-reviewed publications, and service to advance the mission of the department, school, university or academy. Instructional duties include teaching three classes per semester.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
A Ph.D. in Marketing is required in addition to teaching experience of Marketing classes at the university level. Candidates with earned degrees will be given preference, but ABDs with completion of degree by August 1, 2023 will also be considered.
The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching core marketing courses such as Marketing Analytics, Marketing Strategy, and/or Marketing Research. Additionally, candidates with experience in teaching core Marketing courses at the Master's level will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with both face-to-face and online-based instruction and to those who share a commitment to a diverse and inclusive learning environment
Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit:
The Marketing department serves over 500 undergraduate majors and offers degrees in two areas: (1) Professional Selling and (2) Marketing Strategy. The Cameron School of Business' Marketing Department is now home to the Center for Sales Excellence & Customer Delight. The Department also offers a course in the Cameron School core curriculum, as well as a Marketing specialization in the MBA program and several courses in multiple business masters programs.

Prior to the official appointment to the university, the candidate(s) selected for hire must be able to demonstrate eligibility to teach assigned courses by successfully meeting the credentialing requirements based on official transcripts and other documentation as required.
