Overview
Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, this is a cross-functional role centered on securing financial support for NYU Law students and faculty. The Senior Associate Director will spearhead and administer all aspects of NYU Lawâ™s direct marketing and digital/online fundraising to meet aspirational revenue projections. Additionally, this role will lead the continued expansion of a comprehensive fundraising program, managing integrated fundraising strategies, including those for immediate use and flexible financial support. This position will ultimately oversee three reports. This role will also manage an individual prospect portfolio, cultivating and soliciting primarily major gifts ($100,000+) from alumni and friends of NYU School of Law to support priority programs and initiatives. This position will enable immediate value capture for the Law School in upwards of $100M through multiple channels, including Direct Marketing, team management, and one-on-one prospect meetings.
Responsibilities
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: 4-6 yearsâ™ relevant experience - transferable experience is welcomed! Experience in fundraising, and cultivation and stewardship of donors.
Preferred Experience: Fundraising in a higher education setting.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent writing, public speaking, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to conduct professional presentations via phone and in person. Ability to take initiative and collaborate with others. Unfaltering sense of integrity and values.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel) and instant messaging platforms/software, such as Slack or Microsoft Teams.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $125,000.00 to USD $145,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
