The Database Marketing Group Manager is accountable for management of audience management team that will support Citi's US Personal Retail Bank and ThankYou Rewards Marketing strategies. The Group Manager will partner with Retail Marketing and Analytical teams on audience selection for Banking programs such as Checking, Savings, High Yield, and ThankYou Rewards programs in addition to supporting Offer enrollment microsites across brands and retail bank. The team will support multiple channels such as direct mail, digital, and email. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.
Responsibilities:
Primary point of contact to all segment and channel teams for all audience marketing activities and strategies. Manage special project requirements, marketing development, manage a team of people. Provide insight driven recommendations to enhance strategies and drive synergies across the organization. Work closely with Program Management manager to coordinate efforts between the two teams relating to the evaluation of marketing campaign needs, testing initiatives, and campaign analysis to ensure successful completion of campaigns.
Primary contact for supporting Target offer enrollment microsites across Branded Cards and Personal Banking
Manage team of individuals responsible for oversight and execution of in-market campaign and non-marketing activities with a focus on providing insight-driven recommendations to enhance strategies and drive synergies across the organization.
Oversee the interaction with all front office business units, including Marketing, Decision Management and Risk, to capture, validate, and forecast campaign strategy requirements
Drive transformative change to the campaign processes to improve resource efficiency and quality control.
Facilitate brainstorming sessions using Lean methods to determine pain points with the existing calibration process.
Develop and deliver a suite of solutions, secure senior management buy-in, and roll out.
Responsible for all metrics, governance and controls for the execution of the department. Owns the capacity planning and resource forecasting for marketing operations within their organization.
Responsible to grow talent for the organization and develop career planning for all employees in the department.

Qualifications:
10+ years of experience
Experience in financial services. Experience with Direct marketing. preferred. Experience with consumer lending or 3rd party marketing.
Experience with digital marketing and vendor management. SAS experience. Optimization experience.
Working knowledge of customer centric marketing techniques.
Advanced working knowledge base in quantitative and analytical techniques including report analysis, association rules, decision trees, timeline and task plan analysis and visualization techniques.
Aptitude in displaying and communicating data analysis and results within a CRM focused environment.
Acumen working in a technical environment to solve business related problems.
Ability to partner with colleagues to develop new customer centric marketing strategies and targeting opportunities. Ability to create new and imaginative approaches to marketing strategies.
Ability to identify fresh approaches to marketing processes and technology, and shows a willingness to question traditional assumptions.
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Ability to present technical/analytical information to non-technical audiences. Proven ability to work cross-functionally within an organization to accomplish objectives.
Ability to work independently and manage projects from end-to-end. Ability to facilitate meetings, keeping participants focused on the agenda.
Understanding of legal, regulatory environment and experience within a highly controlled environment.
