Reporting to the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, the Digital Marketing Manager will develop and manage a multimedia marketing and communications portfolio that elevates graduate education at UC Davis. The Digital Marketing Manager will work in conjunction with the deans, directors and administrators to enrich the Graduate Studies brand by designing and implementing outreach campaigns, social media campaigns and digital communications tied to graduate student recruitment, retention and community-building goals. The Digital Marketing Manager will be adept at using both web and non-web-based platforms to execute the position including Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva, website content management systems such as Drupal, social media content management systems such as Hootsuite, marketing platforms such as MailChimp or Constant Contact, and Microsoft Office applications. They will also track, analyze and report campaign performance using analytic tools and work closely with the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications to shape ongoing marketing strategies. The Digital Marketing Manager will clearly and effectively interact with individuals of diverse backgrounds and perspectives, and they will serve as a marketing strategist and liaison to Graduate Studies staff and other UC Davis constituents (students, staff, faculty and alumni).

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and work-related experience in marketing, communications, web development or similar; and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
Knowledge and experience with all aspects of social media communications. This includes a firm understanding of social media channels and digital platforms and their respective audiences (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, etc.) as well as the ability to create and implement long and short-term social media marketing/communication plans.
Experience drafting and designing clear, easy-to-navigate, informative, accurate, and functional web resources (including but not limited to websites, visuals and graphics) that provide content consistent with Graduate Studies' brand and objectives targeted to the appropriate audiences.
Experience and knowledge of web production, management, accessibility, and SEO optimization.
Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously and building consensus while managing leadership expectations.
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, Canva or other visual design and wire-framing tools.
Interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with diverse groups and individuals from the University and external to the University, both verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
At least 5 years experience in digital marketing and communications.
Technical skills in digital audio and video recording equipment, experience operating such equipment, and experience with digital audio and video editing software to produce quality videos.
Experience writing, editing, and/or repurposing news for a variety of audiences in digital, online, and print formats.
Basic HTML knowledge.
Knowledge of campus web standards and editorial/content standards.
Project management skills appropriate for multimedia or content production for the web or in publications.
Knowledge of graduate education.
Knowledge of organizational principles and procedures involved in handling sensitive and/or personally identifiable information (for example, Family Education Rights and Privacy Act, or FERPA).
