As a valued member of the Student Life Marketing & Communications (SLMC) team, the Marketing Strategist is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive multi-channel marketing and communications plans for assigned departments within Student Life.
As a Marketing Strategist, you will:
Be the main point of contact for SLMC and assist with the management of departmental creative production requests.
Serve as a strategic consultant by collaborating with assigned Student Life departments, learn and understand their business needs and goals, and provide strategic marketing plans to address their needs effectively.
Must be able to build strong relationships with assigned areas to forecast future needs, prioritize work to maximize impact, and keep all stakeholders informed and aligned through clear and effective communication.
Act as a trusted advisor and problem solver to assigned units and independently seek solutions to problems and answers to questions. The role will provide actionable, relevant, and on-trend guidance to achieve unit objectives.
Be responsible for managing projects from initial brainstorming through assessment and analysis. This position will contribute to the development and organization of copy, design, and digital assets as requested by the creative production team to complete projects.
In addition to focusing on unit projects, the Marketing Strategist will actively collaborate and engage with the entire SLMC team, bringing a positive attitude that contributes to the team's success and the achievement of department goals. This role reports directly to the Director of Marketing and Communications for Student Life.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communications, business, marketing, advertising, graphic design, public relations, communications, or related field, plus two (2) years of experience in a similar role. Equivalent experience/education will be considered. Experience managing multiple accounts/clients necessary. Must have experience working with a creative production team. Demonstrated excellent communication. Attention to detail necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
Four (4) years of experience preferred. Experience working for a large-scale organization preferred. Experience marketing to college-aged students or university experience desired. Account planning experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to track campaign success across multiple channels helpful. Experience working with a marketing budget desired.
