Northeastern University Marketing seeks a versatile Marketing Project Manager to join our team . As the Marketing Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a range of marketing projects - from websites (large and small) to traditional marketing assets (printed brochures, books, emails), to campaign and brand assets - from the initial brief stage, through creative execution and delivery. You will work closely with marketing managers, creatives, and technical team members.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead project meetings, maintain schedules and inputs, and effectively and consistently communicate expectations to all stakeholders.
Maintain up to date project plans in Smartsheet and continue to refine Smartsheet templates for repeat work for the purpose of optimizing, planning and execution.
Increase efficiencies and ability to scale, by proactively identifying and solving problems, and integrating with fellow project managers.
Manage all development phases of web projects from requirements gathering through deployment.
Lead project budgeting, planning, scheduling, contract adherence, risk management, and execution within budget and schedule.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in MarketingBachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
Three to five years of experience as a project manager, traffic manager, or production manager in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills.
Committed, engaged, decisive, adaptable team player.
Demonstrated record of managing website and production processes and vendor relationships.
Strong understanding of marketing mediums and the creative lifecycle.
Facility with project management software such as Smartsheet, Workfront, Microsoft Project, or Asana.
Experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies preferred.
Experience in higher education is not needed, nor is it desired.
This position is based on the Boston campus with the option of one remote day per week.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Collaborate with Marketing Managers and all relevant stakeholders in project scope, objectives for the purpose of project planning.
Articulate complex projects into detailed project documentation, identifying structured phases and sprints to prioritize speed, improvements and enhancements.
Monitor and track progress of projects, reporting on performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Formally manage changes to the project scope, schedule and budget.
Formally identify and manage project risk, reporting and escalating issues to management as needed.
Manage the relationship with the sponsor and all stakeholders ensuring the implementation of a formal communication plan.
Manage project resources, making adjustments and improvements to project delivery to address constraints.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
