The Ohio State University seeks a results-oriented Email and CRM Marketing Associate to shape our online presence, engage diverse audiences, and drive impactful campaigns.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Omnichannel Strategy, the Email and CRM Marketing Associate will execute d direct digital marketing channels (email, CRM, SMS, social media, web push notifications, mobile apps, and online advertising) campaigns for The Office of Advancement and The Ohio State University Alumni Association. This role requires staying current with all direct digital marketing trends.
This professional will operate with a degree of independence, decision-making capabilities, judgment, consistency, and relationship building while leveraging excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong organizational skills with an extreme attention to detail, to collaborate and interact effectively with university, distinguished, and notable constituents, that include alumni, donors, faculty, grateful patients, etc. A critical thinker with a knack for problem-solving and comfortable adapting to ever-changing environments, and discretion are essential when handling sensitive information.

Department Overview
Advancement Marketing and Communications (AMC) provides strategic consultation, content generation, and creative solutions across a variety of channels that achieve marketing and communications objectives for The Ohio State Universitys alumni, donor, and grateful patient audiences.
Duties and Responsibilities

Implement direct digital marketing channels (email, CRM, SMS, social media, web push notifications, mobile apps, and online advertising) marketing strategies to support the Advancement Marketing Communications and Alumni Association's goals
Execute targeted email and SMS campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Design dynamic emails for various stakeholders, including alumni, donors, and the Buckeye community
Support and contribute to texting campaigns for events, giving campaigns, and alumni activities
Work closely with colleagues across the university to ensure alignment of digital marketing efforts
Assist with and facilitate content on landing pages

Works with campus partners on major initiatives (ex. BuckeyeLove, Day of Giving, Alumni Watch Parties, and Month of Service) to optimize outreach
Write direct digital marketing channel content for landing pages, emails, social media, and SMS
Support the alumni associations social media lead and update content on the OSU app

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; digital communications, including web, email, and content development
Two (2) years of relevant experience required
Professional experience in digital communications including web, email, and content development
Experience and the ability to demonstrate working with Adobe Creative Suite, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HTML source code, Drupal, Wordpress, Google Analytics, email analytics programs and project management systems.
Required to work occasional evenings and weekends with an ability to use a flexible schedule

Four (4) years of relevant experience required
Two to four years of professional experience in digital communications, including web, email, and content development
Knowledge of current design trends and technologies
Experience working with web content management system
Proven ability to successfully work with and educate customers on established communications practices, procedures and policies
Exposure to Alumni Relations and/or fundraising professionals
