Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications at the Bass School, the Marketing Communications Manager supports the Dean's priorities, Development and Alumni Relations, Undergraduate Recruitment, Graduate Recruitment, Events, and Internal Stakeholders (faculty/staff/other units). This position is a core force in our digital marketing and communication efforts across all channels, including web, social, email and print. In this role, you will create content for these channels, including SEO-informed web content that positively impacts institutional SEO rankings. You will create and coordinate content for programmatic advertising solutions. You will work closely with the Senior Director of Communications to synergize the interplay of web, email and social media content, storytelling and multimedia assets and help drive institutional visibility, fuel engagement and, ultimately, amplify the Bass brand.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; five years experience in marketing communications and advertising; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, English, communications, journalism or a related field. Experience in marketing, digital strategy and content creation is preferred.
Proven track record in developing and executing successful integrated marketing campaigns that utilize storytelling across digital channels.
Proven track record in developing and executing successful social media strategies and campaigns and strong understanding of existing and emerging social media platforms, organic search and SEO strategies, GA4, keyword research tools (Moz/Semrush/Google Keyword Planner) and WordPress.
Strong understanding of branding, content pillars and messaging.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Asana and Salesforce.
Proficiency in using AP style to create and proofread copy with accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
Understanding of the higher ed space and the opportunities to move its key audiences to action.
