Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 2-3 years of demonstrated and related experience in the areas of social media, website management, and some marketing experience
Prior administrative office experience
Experience assisting with events
Must have demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; experience using Canva, as well as the ability to create and manage social media posts across various platforms
Experience working in higher education is preferred
Must be available to coordinate and attend occasional weekend or after-hours functions and events
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must have experience in social media platforms, website content, Canva, and event planning.

Assist in the development, design, and production of print and digital publications for the School of Education, including selected advertisements, mass and select mailings, recruitment materials, event invitations, and electronic newsletters.

Assist in the coordination and execution of events for the School of Education, including awards programs, multiple VIP functions and receptions, educational symposia, and other such activities. These responsibilities include publicizing events on social media platforms and assisting in the readiness of event spaces and needs for each particular event.

Work as needed with alumni, the School’s Senior Development Officer, the School’s Development Council, and donors; ability to communicate well with these groups, as well as produce needed messages, posts, etc.

Providing administrative support for the Office of the Dean as needed, including but not limited to assisting with committee activities and special projects; organizing and scheduling appointments, as directed; taking detailed minutes/notes as required; providing general support to visitors; and other administrative duties as required.
