Brown University Athletics is seeking candidates for a Marketing Intern for the 2022-2023 season. The marketing assistant will assist in the development, coordination and execution of marketing plans for assigned varsity sports.
Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist in the development and coordination of marketing plans for the department and specific teams to generate attendance and revenue for athletic events.
Assist in event marketing, planning and implementation.
Develop game-day promotions. Assist with preparation of game-day public address scripts and execution of in-game promotions. Assist with planning and coordinating outside group attendance at athletic events.
Coordinate appearances by Bruno (mascot) at Athletics events, campus events, and at marketing events in the community.
Assist in Social Media Efforts. Capture and create content/messaging for official Brown Athletics social media outlets.
Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelorâ™s Degree required
Prior experience in athletics marketing, promotions, or operations preferred.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral communication and computer skills needed.
Experienced with Adobe Photoshop
Possess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.
The successful candidate for this position will be required to complete a criminal background, Education and credit check, and MVR check satisfactory to Brown University prior to commencing employment.
