MARKETING ASSOCIATE 2, MIT Professional Education, to support the creation of digital content for marketing campaigns. Will assist with projects, events, presentations, social media, websites, content, and emails; and be responsible for maintaining and keeping printed and virtual marketing materials available and up-to-date.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; five years' related work experience, preferably in a corporate, retail marketing, or a front-line customer-facing setting; in-depth knowledge of marketing, web, social media, and project management; experience with or interest in learning existing and emerging marketing technology/tools; attention to detail and accuracy; excellent organizational, decision-making, customer service, interpersonal, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills; self-motivation, initiative, and ability to work with minimal supervision; flexibility; discretion and good judgment with confidential matters; proficiency with Macs and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Zoom, and Slack; and willingness to learn. Seek a team-oriented individual who is able to interact effectively and build productive and collaborative relationships with individuals at all levels, including senior officers, faculty, staff, and participants. Must be able to understand new market needs and gauge cultural differences; prioritize and track multiple projects and schedules simultaneously; assess information, resolve problems, and/or determine when senior staff need to be involved; be accountable for own work and deliver high-quality products under tight deadlines in a high-volume, fast-moving, and changing environment. PREFERRED: bachelor's degree in a relevant field; marketing or communications experience in higher education and/or at MIT; and experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), Drupal, Salesforce, Pardot, web content management systems, marketing automation tools, project and social media management software, Slack, basic HTML, SEO, and Google Analytics. Working conditions: lifting weights of up to 20 pounds and transporting marketing materials and boxes to events and other locations.
Must be able to travel locally and work occasional evenings and weekends.
