The Office of Admissions at the University of Tennessee at Martin is accepting applications for a Digital Communications Coordinator. The Office of Admissions is housed within Enrollment Services & Student Engagement (ESSE). The Office of Admissions is a high-impact, high-energy, forward-thinking department that simultaneously handles multiple, on-going projects. This position will create and schedule marketing emails, texts, and print communication in the CRM system for the Office of Admissions and will require frequent interaction with current and potential students and families, supervisees, colleagues within ESSE, and faculty/staff from across UTM's campus. This position will require occasional night and weekend hours.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Create marketing emails, texts, and print (mailing tracks) in Slate CRM system;
* Develop strategic email, print, phone, and SMS communication plans for outreach efforts to prospective students, parents, high school counselors, and campus partners in coordination with Admissions and University Relations;
* Lead creation of content and copywriting for communications plan;
* Lead project requirements, delivery of assets, and production timelines;
* Consult with campus partners to determine communication requirements and needs in order to plan and implement those efforts;
* Monitor, adjust, and report on content performance to keep internal leadership and stakeholders informed and to ensure continuous improvement;
* Research, benchmark, and evaluate competitors/industry best practices;
* Develop best practices related to email and SMS communications for Office of Admissions;
* Perform test list deployments to ensure content accuracy, rendering across devices and browsers, and link functionality;
* Prepare, upload, and test queries required for communications;
* Coordinate stakeholder proofing of emails, process edits, and feedback from reviewers, and manage final approval process;
* Develop a schedule of email sends, confirm scheduling with stakeholders, and monitor deployments for completion and deliverability;
* Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise relating to email creation, send, and delivery.
* Generate and distribute metrics to internal leadership team;
* Assist with Admissions events as needed including SOAR, Preview Days, and Family Events;
* Positively present the University to a variety of constituent groups to enhance both the recruitment of students and the image of the University;
* Positively represent the University to the City of Martin and surrounding communities;
* Other duties as assigned
