Assistant Professor (tenure-track) to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Fundamentals of Digital Marketing, Content Marketing, Social Media Marketing, and/or the Digital Marketing capstone. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to innovative curriculum development that moves beyond foundational digital marketing toward the next generation of technology-enabled marketing practice. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to preparing students for a rapidly evolving marketing landscape shaped by emerging technologies, shifting media, and data-driven customer expectations.
Job Description
Candidates must demonstrate strong research potential and a commitment to publishing in high-quality peer-reviewed journals. Applicants should either have a well-developed research pipeline or provide clear evidence of the ability to establish one. The ideal candidate will contribute to the department’s research strengths and pursue scholarship that addresses contemporary challenges in marketing. Position begins August 2026. This position will involve high-quality teaching, an active research agenda, and service to the profession and university.
The Department of Marketing is in the Farmer School of Business, and has approximately 350 graduates per year, and consists of approximately 28 faculty members made up of tenure/tenure-track, teaching, clinical, and visiting faculty. Minimum Qualifications: Required: Doctorate in marketing, consumer or social psychology, marketing research, digital marketing, or a related discipline applicable to teaching and scholarship in the digital marketing area by the date of appointment. The doctorate must be awarded by December 31, 2026 for appointment to the second year.
